I have had the fortune of going on two of Rodney’s Photo Adventure Tours. One of the highlights of the latest trip was when the group took time to sit on a log beside the Merced River overlooking Yosemite Valley to take in the view, the sounds, and the occasional laughter among us. Another highlight that has happened on both trips is that we start out as strangers and become good friends by the time our week of adventure ends. The photographers on these trips range from beginners to professional and we all learn from each other. Rodney plans the morning and evening shoots in places where you will get your “wow” shots. All the locations have been amazing, but two of my most favorite spots would be Arches National Park and Zion National Park. I would definitely recommend Rodney’s Photo Adventure Tours! ~ Sharon Jenkins
What I appreciated most was the wealth of knowledge from these trips. From not only Rodney, but from the other people on the trip. Everyone was willing to help each other out–show each other the ropes and work together to make some amazingly creative things happen.
I recommend these trips to everyone. It was such a great experience. I definitely want to do the trip again in 2017.
What I appreciated most was the graciousness of everyone (participants and staff) on the tour. Even though I felt my skill level was far beneath everyone else on the tour, I never felt like the “odd duck”. Everyone was very willing to help me out and give me tips and pointers. I could tell everyone was passionate about photography and that made the tour a lot of fun.
From V. Lewis:
…Rodney made everyone feel like family and that we were all welcome on our tour.
…I learned how to shoot in HDR from my lovely companions. I also learned that I love nature photography a lot more than I thought I did!
…These opportunities don’t come up often, and if you can adventure with someone like Rodney, you won’t forget it!
I love travelling, and exploring. It’s refreshing travelling with other photographers. There is no one tapping their foot, or sighing while you get the 8th different angle of that piece of grass when the light is hitting it in just the perfect way.
Rodney and Steve are so much fun but also talented and also very considerate and kind. They want to make sure the trip is memorable to everyone.
What is unique about Rodney’s tours is his attention to detail and his selection of great sites to take in for the best photographic moments.
What I appreciated the most was…his sense of humour!
A. Rodney! His gift to all of us in taking us to the natural wonders of the world in North America.
The highlights for me were: the sights, the camaraderie, and sharing with other photographers. ~ Barb
