Photography lovers who are weary of the biting cold and blustery winds that the Prairies have been hit with still have an easy and economical option available to get away from it all this February. Led by professional photographer and Winnipegger, Rodney Braun, RSB Photo Adventure Tours takes on all the planning of scenic stops like Arches National Park, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon and times them out for the best light. Accommodations and travel between destinations are included in one price: $2400.
Add to that some fun, good food, and camaraderie. “We start out as strangers and become good friends by the time our week of adventure ends,” says two-time tour member, Sharon Jenkins.
Tours typically include a wide range of ages and experience level. There are no expectations for skill or gear. Carol, a participant from Saskatchewan said, “Even though I felt my skill level was far beneath everyone else on the tour, I never felt like the “odd duck”. Everyone was very willing to help me out and give me tips and pointers. I could tell everyone was passionate about photography and that made the tour a lot of fun.”
Those who’ve never tried nature photography much might discover a new passion. Rodney himself was a dedicated portrait photographer who went south in search of some inspiration when he felt he was losing his love for the art. One participant also mentioned, “I learned that I love nature photography a lot more than I thought I did!” You never know what can happen when you begin your adventure.
